YOUTH FX 2016 SUMMER PROGRAM
/Week two was full of excitement as our film ideas started to take shape We were also treated to some incredible workshops by our visiting artists.
On Monday AD/Filmmaker/Production extraordinaire Jason Rowdy taught a very lively and informative workshop about the different roles on a film crew and told some amazing stories from the many sets he's been on over the years.
Next up was local actor Aaron Moore who offered different acting workshops and exercises throughout the day. Aaron also participated in helping students develop their short film pitches.
We had a great casting call workshop with Noelle Gentile helping our actors and directors get ready for auditions.
Documentaries are in pre-production with great ideas including films about gender and video games, Midwives, Fears, Veterans, a profile of the Tone Setters step group, and a doc about the Watch Doctor in the Empire State Plaza concourse.
The week ended with our annual pitch day where we had 16 filmmakers pitch their projects to the group.
How do we actually manage to pick 6 projects out of so many incredible ideas?
